When he’s not taking pictures with his balloon friends, Grammy award winning producer is cranking away in the studio!  Gus is an all around bad ass & we’re happy to have him as one of the many amazing Gobbler supporters!

How have you integrated Gobbler into your workflow?

Since I’m on the road with The Strokes recording, I back up every night to Gobbler. It’s now my go to place for finding shows and other sessions.

Tell us a little about your background in the music business/audio….

I always liked music so I made it my job. Best job ever.

What is your favorite record at the moment?

Last year I listened to “Running Back” with Thin Lizzy every morning. This year it looks like “Highway Star”, Deep Purple is gonna take the title.

If you were on a desert island and could take just a few pieces of gear, what would they be?

Salt, pepper, a fishing rod and plenty of alcohol. If for some reason a rock band with a full backline would wash ashore I would probably miss my chandler germanium compressors.

Preferred DAW?

Pro Tools 9, I’m so happy with 9.

Give us a situation where Gobbler has saved the day and/or a time when you could have really used a software like Gobbler?

I have had plenty of drives break on me in the past, so Gobbler definitely could’ve came in handy!

What is your Website/Twitter/Anything you want to plug?

GusOberg.com but it’s down at the moment so try youporn.com

    He’s a great dude.
Thank you for the tip, I’ll try the experiment next month since I’ll be mobile too. Never used Gobbler outside the studio. Great idea.

PS – I can fix his website. One of my other skills.
    PPS- I’m not joking
